Ariana Grande Focus Debuts in Top 10, Makes History
Ariana Grande made music history with her latest single “Focus.” She became the first singer to have her debut single from her three albums to debut in the top 10 of the Billboard Hot 100. Billboard even calls it “unprecedented.”
In 2013, “The Way,” featuring rapper Mac Miller, from Yours Truly, debuted at number 10. In 2014, “Problem,” featuring Iggy Azelea, from My Everything, came in at number 3. Now, in 2015, “Focus,” which will appear on her upcoming album Moonlight, made its debut at number 7.
“Focus” is her sixth song overall in the Hot 100 top 10. The other three songs include “Break Free,” featuring Zedd, “Bang Bang,” featuring Jessie J and Nicki Minaj and “Love Me Harder,” featuring The Weeknd.
